About the images
Section titled “About the images”- They are the distributions’ official cloud images. Ubuntu and Debian are rebuilt by TebibHost with the QEMU guest agent added; AlmaLinux ships it already; on Rocky Linux cloud-init installs it on first boot.
- Ubuntu, Debian and AlmaLinux are refreshed from upstream every night, so a new VM starts close to current. Rocky Linux is pinned to a release (10.2) and updated by TebibHost.
- Root logins and SSH passwords are off; log in with your SSH key as the user above and use
sudo. - The boot disk is 20 GiB by default and can be set larger when you create the VM.
- All images boot with BIOS and use virtio disks and network.
An image name always means the newest copy of that OS release. A VM keeps the disk it was created from; images changing later doesn’t change existing VMs.
Your own images are not available yet; see Custom images.
