Quotas and tiers
Two kinds of limit apply to every create:
- Organization totals, set by the organization’s trust tier: how many VMs, vCPUs, GiB of memory and public IPv4 addresses all its projects together may use, and how many projects it may have.
- Project quotas: limits per project, so one project can’t use up everything.
A create that would pass either limit is refused with an error naming the quota.
Trust tiers
Section titled “Trust tiers”New accounts start small to keep abuse off the network, and grow as you verify who you are. Moving up a tier raises the limits at once.
| Tier | How you get there | Projects | VMs | vCPUs | Memory | Public IPv4 | DNS zones | Bandwidth per VM | Egress cap per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
new |
Sign up | 2 | 2 | 2 | 4 GiB | 1 | 3 | 50 Mbit/s | 100 GB |
payment_verified |
Your first successful top-up | 5 | 10 | 16 | 32 GiB | 3 | 20 | 200 Mbit/s | 1,000 GB |
id_verified |
TebibHost approves an ID document | 10 | 25 | 48 | 96 GiB | 5 | 50 | 1,000 Mbit/s | 5,000 GB |
Object storage has its own totals per tier (buckets and GiB stored); see
Object storage. Public buckets need payment_verified or
higher.
Bandwidth is per VM in each direction, and changes on running VMs too when the tier changes. The monthly egress cap is shown on the Verification page but not enforced yet; egress above your VMs’ included allowance is billed per GB (see Prepaid billing). Load balancers across all projects follow the same steps: 1, 3 and 5.
Verify your identity
Section titled “Verify your identity”Upload an ID document in the console under Verification: a national ID, passport, alien ID or driving licence, or a company registration certificate for a business. A person at TebibHost reviews it, and you see the result (with a reason if it was refused) on the same page.
Documents are encrypted before they are stored and deleted 30 days after review. The record that a document was reviewed (type, country, result, date) is kept.

Section titled “Need more?”Higher limits come first from a higher tier. Beyond that, TebibHost staff can raise a quota for your organization or a project; ask through the contact page on tebibhost.com. A self-service limit-request form is planned.
