Billing and statements

Everything about money is on the organization’s Billing page, or under tebib billing. You need the Billing or OrgOwner policy (or billing:* actions) to see it. For how the wallet and charges work, see Prepaid billing and the ledger.

Runway is how long your money lasts at the current rate: (wallet + promotional credit) ÷ what your resources cost per hour right now.

The top of Billing shows the balance, the runway and the low-balance state.

State When What happens
OK Runway of 72 hours or more Nothing
Warned Runway under 72 hours An email to the billing contacts, and a banner in the console
Restricted Runway under 24 hours, or no money yet Creating billable resources (VMs, volumes, snapshots, public IPs) and starting VMs is refused
Stopped Balance at zero or below Running VMs are stopped, not deleted. Disks and IPs keep billing, up to a small credit limit
Delinquent Negative for 14 days A final notice; 72 hours later the organization’s resources are deleted. Projects stay

A top-up that brings the runway back moves the state back at once. VMs stopped for the balance stay stopped until you start them again. Each change of state is emailed once.

The ledger lists every movement: top-ups, the hourly usage charge of each project, promotional credit, refunds and adjustments.

A few hours after each month ends you get a statement for that calendar month (UTC; in Kenya a month runs from 03:00 EAT on the 1st): opening balance, money in, money spent by project and meter, and closing balance. Because TebibHost is prepaid, a statement is a record of what happened, not a bill to pay.

Billing → Statements, open one, and download its PDF.

Issued statements never change. A charge that arrives late (for example a corrected usage reading) shows on the next statement under adjustments for earlier periods.

Every successful top-up has a PDF receipt: Billing → Recent top-ups, or

Low-balance warnings, state changes, statements and receipts go to the billing contacts, or to the organization’s owners if there are none.

To see what a project used, hour by hour and meter by meter, open the project’s Usage page or run tebib usage. Prices are on tebibhost.com/pricing and in tebib price list.

Prices exclude taxes. Tax invoices are not available yet during the preview.
