Instance types

An instance type sets a VM's vCPUs and memory. vCPUs are shared with other VMs (up to two vCPUs per physical CPU thread), as on most clouds' standard plans. Disk is separate: you choose the boot disk size and add volumes as you need. For prices, seetebibhost.com/pricing or run tebib price list.

b1: burstable

Shared vCPUs for light or spiky workloads: websites, small APIs, development machines, bastions.

b1.nano1512 MiB
b1.micro11 GiB
b1.small12 GiB
b1.medium24 GiB
b1.large28 GiB

g1: general purpose

Shared vCPUs with 4 GiB of memory per vCPU, for steady workloads and databases.

g1.xlarge416 GiB
g1.2xlarge832 GiB

Choosing and changing

  • Some images need a minimum of memory: Rocky Linux and AlmaLinux need 1.5 GiB, Ubuntu 1 GiB. SeeOS images.
  • Change a VM's type with tebib vm resize <VM ID> <type> or on the VM's page. Stop the VM first; its disks and addresses stay.
  • Your organization's tier limits the total vCPUs and memory.
